SCHEDULE CHANGE: FALL 2013 DRAWING / FIGURE DRAWING AND KIDS' MANGA DRAWING WORKSHOPS / Community Creative Center

There has been a change of schedule for my fall workshops including another class.  This October, November and December I'll be teaching a Drawing Workshop,  Adult Figure Drawing Workshop and a Kids' Fantasy Manga Drawing Workshop at the Community Creative Center. 

Serious About Drawing | Ages 14 & Up

Ages 14 & Up | Wednesdays, Oct 16-Dec 11 | 6:30-8:30pm | If you want to take your drawing skills to a new level then this is the class for you.  A great opportunity to work with an illustrator who is also a college art professor.

Figure Drawing with Sean Fitzgibbon | Ages 18 & Up

Mondays, October 14 - November 18 | 6:30-8:30pm | This basic figure drawing workshop is for both beginning and advanced level artists.  We will draw from live models utilizing various techniques, including gesture drawing and value drawing with light and shadow.

Drawing – Anime and Fantasy Manga with Sean Fitzgibbon | Ages 8 & Up

Mondays, October 14 - December 9 | 4-5:30pm | Explore the amazing world of comics, fantasy and Manga! Create your own comic/Manga characters and stories.

 

ARCHIVE: Early Crime Noir Comic Sample Pages

Much of my work contains elements of mystery, and crime noir.  Here are some examples of some of my early pen and ink crime noir pages including some pencils from an early unpublished comic series I was hired to illustrate entitled Larcher written by John McLean.   It's fun revisiting these old books from time to time.  Much like my graphic novel DomestiCATed: Paths Once Crossed, this book is heavily influenced by early noir and mystery film and literature.         

Horror Comic Anthology Short Story

In JULY I POSTED INFO about an original horror comic short story I've been illustrating for a leading, specialty press publisher of horror and dark suspense.  I finished this tale of terror in August and the the book will be available at the first of the year.  I'm a huge fan of the horror anthology format and looking forward to the release of this creepy collection featuring award winning writers and artists.  Here are a few details of my work from various pages throughout the book.  As I stated in the earlier post I'll be sure and include much more info about the upcoming book as the publishing date draws closer.
