Original pages from Sean Fitzgibbon’s book “What Follows Is True: Crescent Hotel” will be exhibited at 21c Museum Hotel in downtown Bentonville from mid April through early October. Be sure to check out the exhibition. Copies of my book will also be available for purchase in the 21c Museum Hotel gift shop.

Artist Sean Fitzgibbon explores unusual, real places and events through his work. His documentary-style graphic nonfiction, What Follows is True, explores the Crescent Hotel’s strange two years as the Baker Hospital, one of the darkest and most controversial legends in the town of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

GETSMART! LEARNING SERIES: THE ART OF CROWDFUNDING

Is it time to find ways to fund your art project by yourself?

Join artist Sean Fitzgibbon to learn the ins and outs of funding your art project through platforms such as Kickstarter in this FREE online workshop. This event is organized by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of Arkansas Heritage.

Learn what crowdfunding is and what it isn’t; discover the pros and cons of using online fundraising platforms; and find ways to drum up a network of supporters to see you through. Fitzgibbon will walk participants through his thought process for how he decided to crowdfund, his failures and his successes, and his journey to publishing a successful, historical graphic novel about The Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs.
