I’ve started a new little newsletter segment called “Stories to Draw From”. In each installment, I explore places, objects, and other historical oddities that catch my interest, along with research materials I come across along the way, such as old photographs, newspaper articles, maps, historical documents, and even my own drawings and paintings.

Some of these discoveries may simply be interesting rabbit holes, while others might eventually become the subject of a future installment of What Follows Is True! Think of it as a behind the scenes look at the kinds of stories, images, and bits of history that get my imagination going and might someday find their way onto the page.
