THANKS HAUNTED AMERICA!

Once again I’d like to send my gratitude to author Troy Taylor for hosting the amazing Haunted America Conference last weekend in Alton, IL. It was a wonderful event and I was happy to have met so many amazing historical authors such as April Slaughter, Amanda R. Woomer, Troy Taylor. Also, thanks to everyone that dropped by the booth to support "What Follows is True" and said hi. I sure do appreciate it!

DETAIL FROM WHAT FOLLOWS IS TRUE: CRESCENT HOTEL

This is a detail from my book. Norman Baker sold a variety of merchandise from his TNT magazine ranging from alarm clocks, lamps and car batteries to cans of beans and cigars and was similar to a Sears & Roebuck catalog in many ways. What Follows is True: Crescent Hotel is available at my website store HERE.

THANKS TO THE EUREKA SPRINGS HISTORICAL MUSEUM

The wonderful Eureka Springs Historical Museum “Baker Hospital” exhibit came down yesterday. Original art from my book What Follows Is True: Crescent Hotel was on display along with artifacts from the Baker Hospital. I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to my friend and museum director Jeff Danos for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful exhibit. Jeff is an exceptional curator and the Eureka Springs Historical Museum exhibitions are always outstanding.

Be sure to check out the new ESHM exhibit: “Recreating the EUREKA BABY”. This exhibit chronicles the long fabled story of “Baby Eureka” – is it an ancient artifact, gorilla artwork, freakshow or a hoax?  A group of local artists will add some “color” to the story as they interpret their recreation of “Baby Eureka”. Opening Reception May 17 at 5pm $5 Admission, Free for Museum Members. More information can be found HERE.
