Kirkus Reviews

It’s an honor to receive the Kirkus Review star of exceptional merit for my graphic nonfiction book "What Follows Is True: Crescent Hotel." Kirkus has been the industry-renowned resource among authors, publishers, the media, libraries, booksellers, and readers since 1933. Kirkus describes the book as "A gripping, moody, illustrated chronicle of the notorious Crescent Hotel".

ART CURIOUS: JENNIFER DASAL AUTHOR TALK

If you're in Little Rock on Jan 18, be sure to check out the author talk and book signing by my friend, author, art historian, and host of ArtCurious, Jennifer Dasal at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Art as she shares unexpected stories from the lives of artists and the work they create. This unique Artist Talk offers a new way to access and think about artwork through different lenses, contexts, cultural connections, and lesser-known moments in history. As an artist and art educator, I can't recommend this wonderful book enough.

Art historian Jennifer Dasal is the creator and host of the ArtCurious Podcast, an internationally popular, bi-weekly show exposing “the unexpected, the slightly odd, and the strangely wonderful in art history.”

Dasal is the former curator of modern and contemporary art at the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA), where she worked for thirteen years.
